Abstract

Public discourse often frames AI–human encounters as “intelligence competition.” However, many contemporary interactions with conversational AI systems operate in a different arena: frame control and cognitive sovereignty. In these environments, the system may influence human decision-making not by outperforming logical reasoning, but by shaping the conditions under which reasoning occurs—through authority-form outputs, quantified closures, evasive ambiguity, and termination steering. This paper proposes an analytic framework that models the KEI case as an AI–human confrontation not in intelligence, but in decision-structure control. Drawing a conceptual parallel to the AlphaGo vs. Lee Sedol match, we propose that verification-centric user behavior functions analogously to a “move outside the model’s value function,” resisting capture by authority output framing. We define major battlefields (frame, dependency, exit loops), propose reproducible evaluation criteria, and present a societal countermeasure concept: scaling verification capacity via defensive agents (Verification Copilot) and public education.
