Abstract

This conceptual research paper proposes a framework for designing road surface dashed lines as a "Perceptual Language," focusing on implicit communication through the driver's visual perception mechanisms. The study analyzes quantitative parameters—such as rhythm, length, and asymmetry—to trigger pre-attentive brain processing, thereby reducing cognitive load and supporting decision-making in complex scenarios like one-way streets and intersections. By integrating physics, human factors, and cognitive psychology, this work lays the foundation for future intelligent infrastructure design.
