BCQM VI — Spacetime (Path A) reference implementation
Abstract
v0.1.0 — BCQM VI Stage-1 Lockdown (Dynamic Islands + Ball-Growth Geometry) This release freezes the Stage-1 reference implementation for BCQM VI (Path A cross-links on top of the BCQM V v_glue clock engine). It is the version intended for archival under the Zenodo concept DOI 10.5281/zenodo.18400713. What this release contains • Full runnable codebase (bcqm_vi_spacetime/) and YAML configs (configs/) • Selftest + pipeline scripts to reproduce the reported results • docs/ with lab notes, session logs, and bring-up notes • figures/ with the paper figures, the CSVs used to generate them, and a command list to regenerate Key results reproduced by this release • Two-step emergence: connectivity ("space") turns on first under Path A cross-links; island coherence strengthens later and is threshold-sensitive. • Mechanism separation (ablations): • nospace prevents percolation and confirms the scan parameter does not leak into the clock engine • glue-off shows connectivity can percolate while clock quality collapses • Dynamic islands (time-resolved): binned time series show "space stays on while islands fluctuate", confirmed by ensembles and across N=8 and N=4. • Ball-growth geometry: robust n-dependent tightening ("channels + shortcuts") on the active slice, used as the Stage-1 geometry diagnostic when spectral-dimension fits are structurally unstable. How to run From repo root: • Install (Python 3.13.x recommended) python -m pip install -e . • Sanity check: bash bcqm_vi_spacetime/pipelines/run_selftest.sh • Reproduce ensembles / figures: see REPRODUCIBILITY.md and FIGURE_MAP.md (or the command list in figures/).
