Abstract

This video demonstrates the autonomous experimental exploration process of the Self-Directed Experimental Framework (SDEF) under two-dimensional free- and forced-vibration conditions. The video shows how experimental sampling points are sequentially selected and executed, and how the response surface evolves during the closed-loop experimental process. It also visualizes the real-time adaptation of Bayesian optimization components, including the dynamic weighting parameter α, surrogate-model structure selection, and multiple convergence indicators. The visualization highlights the capability of SDEF to couple physical experiment with adaptive modeling for efficient exploration of complex fluid–structure interaction response landscapes.
