Geometric Derivation of the Boltzmann Constant from the Triple Point of Water: Completing the Four Planck Constants from the Golden Ratio
Abstract
We establish a geometric derivation of the Boltzmann constant k_B from the triple point of water (T_TPW = 273.16 K). The relation T_proton/T_TPW = φ^(50+φ/√5) reproduces the experimental value with 0.02% precision without adjustable parameters. The exponent combines two Platonic solids invariants: the vertex sum (Σ_V = 50) and the icosahedral ratio (φ/√5). This derivation completes a unified program where all four fundamental constants of Planck units (α, ℏ, G, k_B) emerge from a single geometric constant C_Θ = 40φ − 12. The triple point of water appears not as an arbitrary metrological convention, but as a fixed point of φ-adic quantization, linking thermodynamics to regular polyhedra geometry.
