MJFF Data Community Webinar - Associations Between Soccer Participation, TBI, and PDRD
Abstract
In this webinar, Annalise Miner (PhD candidate) and Dr. Michael Alosco (Associate Professor of Neurology) present their current research at Boston University’s Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy and Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. Investigating the associations between soccer play, traumatic brain injury, and self-reported parkinsonism and Parkinson’s disease (PD), they have been leveraging Fox Insight data in combination with neuroimaging data to further our understanding of how these common physical activities can potentially lead to serious conditions like PD. This webinar was organized by the the Michael J. Fox Foundation's Data Community of Practice (DCoP). Do you have ideas or suggestions for other webinar topics you would like to see?
