Networker: Computational model for generating trophic networks
Abstract
Computational model that reconstructs trophic networks from enriched species lists by integrating: taxonomic information, dietary categories, body-size data, and an allometric niche model, to infer directed predator–prey interactions and generate binary trophic networks. The model produces multiple network replicates per ecosystem and computes a wide set of topological descriptors characterizing network structure. This version corresponds to the version of the software used in the accompanying publication: Brun-Usan M, Latorre R, Buscalioni ÁD, Alcorlo P, Marugán-Lobón J (2026) Algorithmic reconstruction of trophic networks from open-access species lists reveals key organisms in real ecosystems.
