The CMB 'Axis of Evil': Cross-Scale Alignment and the Case for Structured Space-Phase
Abstract
Unexpected large-scale alignments in the cosmic microwave background (CMB), commonly referred to as the “Axis of Evil,” challenge the assumption that the universe is statistically isotropic on the largest scales. While often treated as statistical flukes or foreground artifacts, these alignments persist across multiple datasets and analysis methods. This conversational paper argues that such large-scale angular coherence is more naturally interpreted as evidence of structured, memory-bearing space-phase. Within the SP3 framework, these alignments are viewed as manifestations of global angular modes imprinted in the space-phase substrate, providing a physical mechanism for preferred directions at cosmological scales.
