Abstract

Covariant Palatini gravity sources curvature from mass-flux normal to b^μ = ∇^μ S / |∇ S|. Preferred direction inherits from thermodynamics. Torsion emerges from connection. Screening follows RG flow. β evolves at one loop. Theory recovers GR to 10^{-52}. Three predictions: neutron Ramsey phase asymmetry 3.2 × 10^{-26} rad (PSI n2EDM, 2027–2028), 1 μas M87 shadow eccentricity (EHT-2, 2027–2028), 10^{-6}% Hawking temperature gradient (JWST, 2028–2029).
