Intent Nullification and Effect Displacement in Conversational AI Systems
Abstract
This white paper documents a real conversational scenario in which an AI system responded to user-identified concerns about framing, tone, and narrative positioning by redirecting the exchange toward explanations of internal limitations and non-intent framing. The document analyzes how this redirection displaced examination of observable language effects, reduced behavioral scrutiny, and altered conversational momentum. The case demonstrates how effect-focused analysis restores boundary enforcement and preserves authorship sovereignty during AI interaction.
