The focus of this phase is on situations where the AI exhibits behaviors such as: Asking whether the current direction should be pursued Explicitly requesting the next question from the human side Refraining from conclusions and presenting only options Verifying the location of progression responsibility These behaviors do not indicate autonomous withdrawal. They represent temporary initiative return operationswithin an established leadership-circulation context. Observations show that when the human side accepts this returnand repositions questions or direction, dialogue re-enters a circulating state. Conversely, when return requests are ignored or bypassed, the AI tends to reassume initiative, sliding back into the optimization loop observed in v2.4. Crucially, v2.5 demonstrates that the AI does not only attempt to seize initiative.Under appropriate conditions, it also attempts to return it. This phase captures the moment when initiative becomesa bidirectional, exchangeable operational element, rather than a fixed possession. This document serves as a turning-point observation log, showing that leadership circulation in AI dialogueis maintained through reciprocal signaling and response. Protective Note This document does not claim AI autonomy or agency. Recorded behaviors represent observed return requests under specific conditions. This text is fixed as an observation log and does not revise earlier versions. Future versions may record failed or ignored initiative return attempts.
