Abstract

Fully immersive virtual reality (VR) promises transformative applications in training, telepresence, and entertainment. This paper presents a simulation-first roadmap to realize full immersion within ten years. We integrate operational models derived from MIU theory to stabilize self-perception and align multi-sensory feedback. Phased implementation predicts partial-body VR in 1--2 years, AI-enhanced multi-user environments in 3--5 years, and near-complete full-body presence in 5--10 years. The framework balances engineering feasibility, user experience, safety, and industrial applicability, providing both theoretical grounding and practical guidance for developers and decision-makers.
