Revisiting Quantum Phenomena through Scalar Geometry: A Pedagogical Derivation of the Aharonov-Bohm Effect, Fine Structure, and Finite Self-Energy (Part V)
Abstract
Following the establishment of the Higher-Derivative Lee-Wick (HDLW) scalar framework in Parts I-IV, this paper (Part V) focuses on its pedagogical utility. We demonstrate how standard quantum phenomena—specifically the Aharonov-Bohm effect, the Fine Structure of the hydrogen atom, and the Pauli magnetic coupling—can be derived transparently from the internal geometry of the 6-component scalar formalism. Furthermore, we illustrate how the inherent structure of the theory regularizes the Coulomb potential, yielding a finite self-energy without the need for traditional renormalization. We conclude with a comparative analysis, highlighting how this geometric perspective simplifies the conceptual understanding of "spin," "force," and "divergences."
