Abstract

This Master's thesis deals with poor housing in the Ile de France and the socio-territorial inequalities involved. We know that it is difficult to gather and mobilize information and data on this topic. One of the challenges of this Master’s thesis is therefore to identify the different dimensions of poor housing, as well as the associative and institutional actors working to reduce poor housing. The first part of this Master’s thesis is a diagnosis of poor housing in Ile de France in which we deal with the causes of poor housing and its evolution, all these different aspects as well as the territories on which poor housing is prevalent. This Master’s thesis also focuses on poorly housed and non-loged people. Part of this brief is devoted to identifying these people and the social inequalities they suffer, as well as the health consequences they may suffer. Obviously, this brief will deal with the effects of the health crisis on the poorly housed and especially the homeless, and more broadly these consequences on the housing crisis in the Ile de France.Another issue in this Master’s thesis is to be able to investigate poor housing on our own and identify the solutions that can reduce it. We will see what materials can be mobilized for this by questioning their sufficiency and what indicators exist today to identify poor housing. Our survey will allow us to build a series of cartographies that intersect variables related to several aspects of poor housing, in order to identify the territories of the Ile-de-France that seem to be the most impacted by the phenomenon. In addition, this survey will allow us to meet with associative and institutional actors who are working to reduce poor housing and who will present a panel of solutions that allow it.
