Contextualizing ICT Solutions for AI Scientific/Industrial Transformation
Abstract
Abstract The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a key factor in drivingscientific and industrial transformation. However, theeffectivenessof these technologies hinges on their contextualization within specific socio-economic, infrastructural, and cultural settings. This emphasizes the necessity of tailoring these technologies to specific industrial and regional contexts. This paper examines the critical factors influencing the successful deployment of ICT and AI solutions in diverse contexts, particularly focusing on developing regions. Through a comprehensive review of current literature and case studies, the research identifies key factors influencing the successful integration of ICT and AI, including infrastructure readiness, ethicalconsiderations, workforce competencies and the adaptation of AI models to local languages and cultural nuances. It further examines existing challenges such as inadequate digital infrastructure, data privacy concerns, and resistance to technological adoption. The study underscores the necessity for a multidimensional approach that combines technological innovation with socio-cultural considerations to achieve sustainable and inclusive industrial transformation. Recommendations are provided for policymakers, industry leaders, and researchers to foster environments conducive to the effective contextualization of ICT and AI solutions, thereby enhancing their impact on scientific and industrial advancement.
