Systemic Foundations of Digital Identity: Designing Digital Infrastructures for Value Creation and Transfer
Abstract
This paper explores the structural limitations of contemporary digital systems, which primarily function as tools for data consumption rather than as "Existential Infrastructures" that support human life. The author identifies a significant gap in current digital architectures: the failure to fairly recognize, accumulate, and transfer the value generated through human participation—such as social labor, knowledge curation, and community engagement. To address these challenges, the paper proposes a systemic framework built upon three pillars: 1. Identity as a Value-Bearing Structure: Shifting online identity from a mere authentication account to a cumulative repository of credibility and portable value. 2. Proximity as a Design Principle: Elevating "Net Locality" and contextual discovery to bridge digital interactions with real-world local opportunities. 3. Contribution as a Systemic Asset: Redefining user interactions as "Social Labor" that creates tangible economic and social rewards. The framework aims to transition the human role from a passive "User" to a "Digital Existent," ensuring that digital infrastructures serve as a bridge to enhance the quality of physical life, foster community resilience, and ensure structural justice in the next digital era.
