Abstract

Abstract — We propose a minimal geometric “reading lens” for cosmological large-scale structure based on an effective cost variable φ. The intent is conceptual: to reduce interpretive friction and to provide a disciplined vocabulary compatible with standard cosmology, without introducing new entities or fitting parameters. We treat structure formation as a path problem: allowed transitions define paths π, and an accumulated action S(π)=Σφ selects preferred trajectories (filaments) and closures (halos) under a gravitational potential. We define holonomy as path dependence: identical coarse endpoints may retain distinct residual structure because their assembly histories differ.Scope — Not a replacement for ΛCDM; no microphysical claims about dark matter or dark energy; no parameter fitting.
