Gravitational Singularity Resolution via Temporal Stratification: A Modification to the Einstein-Hilbert Action
Abstract
This preprint proposes a modification to the Einstein–Hilbert action based on Time Layer Theory, in which the temporal dimension is modeled as a stratified manifold rather than a continuous parameter. A correction term, the Temporal Gradient Tensor (Θµν), is introduced to account for resistance to extreme temporal compression in strong gravitational fields. Applying this framework to black hole interiors, we show that the collapse predicted by classical General Relativity is halted by a repulsive temporal degeneracy pressure, replacing the central singularity with a finite-curvature, high-density core (“Temporal Knot”). The resulting spacetime remains geodesically complete and preserves information unitarity. This manuscript is a preprint and has not undergone peer review.
