The Barabar Cave Complex
Abstract
ABSTRACTThis study presents an engineering audit of the Barabar Caves (Bihar, India), traditionally dated to the 3rd century BC. Contrary to the manual hand-chiseling theory, metrological, chemical, and structural evidence proves an industrial manufacturing process. The findings include a standardized 1/8 Hasta (5.625 cm) anchor system, identical 4.2 mm matrix defects across different chambers, and a geopolymer composition with a technical ceramic density of 3.0 g/cm3. The site functioned as a centralized, hermetically sealed storage terminal.
