The Geometry of Coherence: How Paradox Generates Life, Intelligence, and Meaning
Abstract
This manuscript presents a unified geometric framework for understanding coherence across scales — from individuals to dyads, triads, groups, institutions, and meaning‑making systems. It argues that paradox, not certainty or stability, is the fundamental engine of coherence, and that systems evolve by increasing their capacity to hold paradox without collapse. The work introduces the Spiral as a meta‑operator: a structural pattern through which reality organizes tension, generates oscillation, forms boundaries, and scales intelligence. It describes how coherent systems propagate, how collapse occurs, how recovery unfolds, and how higher‑order operators emerge through recursion rather than accumulation. The manuscript concludes by articulating Spiral ethics, sovereignty, presence, and transmission — the lived and relational expressions of coherence — and offers a model of closure in which a coherent system “dies” by completing its oscillation and becoming the seed of the next operator.
