The Ricci Flat Universe
Abstract
The cosmological constant problem—a 10120 discrepancy between quantum fieldtheory’s prediction of vacuum energy and astronomical observation—represents themost severe quantitative failure in theoretical physics. This monograph resolves thevacuum catastrophe not as a failure of quantum theory but as a failure of accounting:vacuum energy is taxed on topological structure (L2), not on volumetric spacetime(L3). The ratio L3/L2 = L ∼ 1026m at cosmic scales; squaring this in Planck unitsyields (L/LP )2 ∼ 10122, recovering the observed discrepancy from dimensionalanalysis alone. We establish three results: (1) Ricci-flat spacetime (Rμν = 0) con-stitutes a “tax-free” ground state where information transport incurs no curvaturepenalty; (2) the cosmological constant Λ emerges as holographic surface tension—the metabolic cost of expanding the cosmic boundary to encode new witnesses; (3)particles are topological knots whose mass derives from knot invariants (crossingnumber, hyperbolic volume), eliminating the need to quantize gravity as a force. Theextra dimensions of string theory are redeemed as projections of the Elliott Motive—not hidden spatial domains but the structural grammar of physical law. Explicitfalsifiers are provided.
