Versioned Archive and Review of Biotic Interactions and Taxon Names Found within globalbioticinteractions/bmpo hash://md5/8e9988824b05af774bb2b5d2b76ab404

Life on Earth is sustained by complex interactions between organisms and their environment. These biotic interactions can be captured in datasets and published digitally. We present a review and archiving process for such an openly accessible digital interactions dataset of known origin and discuss its outcome. The dataset under review, named globalbioticinteractions/bmpo, has fingerprint hash://md5/8e9988824b05af774bb2b5d2b76ab404, is 16.3MiB in size and contains 13,203 interactions with 1 unique type of association (e.g., parasiteOf) between 555 primary taxa (e.g., bos_taurus) and 1,984 associated taxa (e.g., rabies_lyssavirus). This report includes detailed summaries of interaction data, a taxonomic review from multiple catalogs, and an archived version of the dataset from which the reviews are derived.
