No matter how advanced AI becomes,misunderstanding, overtrust, and dependency will persistunless human understanding is cultivated. Therefore, this framework begins with education. The Human Model Implicitly Assumed by Traditional Education Most education systems assume an “ideal learner”: Sustained attention Accurate comprehension Awareness of personal misunderstanding Consistent rational judgment Real humans are different. Humans get tired, misinterpret, pause,and often believe they understand when they do not. Understanding Sovereignty does not treat this as a defect. The Core Shift Introduced by Understanding Sovereignty This framework does not improve teaching techniques.It replaces the underlying assumption. Teaching correct answers → ❌ Repositioning understanding → ⭕ The role of education is not to make learners correct,but to help them recognize where understanding has not yet formed. Designing “Non-Directive Education” Education under Understanding Sovereignty is characterized by: Delayed answers Permission to pause Reversible mistakes Acceptance of not knowing This is not neglect.It is the return of initiative to the learner. Application to AI Literacy and AI Education The greatest risk in AI educationis teaching “proper usage” first. Human understanding is context-dependent, emotional, and unstable. Understanding Sovereignty teaches not how to use AI,but how to relate to it. Conclusion of the Education Chapter Education, under Understanding Sovereignty,is not about making humans smarteror leading them to correct answers. It is about returning humans to responsibility for their own understanding. This role cannot be replaced,no matter how advanced AI becomes.
