EFFECTIVE USE OF THE QUESTION-AND-ANSWER METHOD IN DEVELOPING STUDENTS' ANALYTICAL SKILLS
Abstract
This article examines the effective use of the question-and-answer method in developing students’ analytical skills within modern educational contexts. The study highlights the limitations of traditional lecture-based instruction and emphasizes the growing importance of interactive teaching approaches that promote active learning and critical thinking. The question-and-answer method is analyzed as a dynamic instructional strategy that fosters student engagement, cognitive participation, and deeper comprehension through structured inquiry and response. Particular attention is given to the role of well-designed questioning techniques, inclusive participation, and timely feedback in enhancing students’ reasoning, problem-solving, and communication skills. The article also explores the applicability of the question-and-answer method in both face-to-face and online learning environments, identifying its potential challenges and proposing practical solutions. The findings suggest that systematic and purposeful implementation of the question-and-answer method significantly contributes to the development of analytical thinking and improves overall learning outcomes.
