Dark Matter as Self-Regulated Thermal Energy
Abstract
Dark matter appears cold because: * Its energy is non-exchangeable: Interaction cross-sections are effectively zero concerning standard model particles and photons. * It does not populate kinetic degrees of freedom: Energy is stored volumetrically ($\sigma$), not kinetically ($v^2$). * It does not radiate: The energy state resides strictly below the threshold for photon emission.
