Abstract

Job satisfaction is a critical factor that defines employee motivation, employee productivity and overall performance of a given organization; however, it has not been given due consideration in many regional and managerial environments. Even though it is established concept in the context of organizational psychology and management scholarship, the complexities associated with the concept of job satisfaction definition and measurement still pose substantive challenges to scholars and practitioners. The statistical modeling tool that will be used in this research is linear regression analysis to determine the relationship between different determinants of job satisfaction and the overall employee performance. The current investigation defines the main areas of job satisfaction found in the existing literature that include pay, career advancement, supervisor-employee interactions, working terms, and intrinsic motivation. Based on these dimensions, a regression model is developed to analyze the degree to which each of the factors leads to a general level of job satisfaction and, in turn, organizational performance. Through regression modeling, the study can estimate the magnitude and direction of these relationships, isolate the most significant predictors and give evidence-based analysis of employee levels of satisfaction. In order to test the model, the survey-based data were gathered among the employees who represent various sectors; the extensive statistical diagnostics were conducted to confirm the robustness and reliability of the model. The results of the regression analysis demonstrate that factors like fair pay, appreciation, and favorable management behaviors have the strongest influence on the level of satisfaction. Moreover, intrinsic motivators such as meaningful work and career advancement opportunities also exhibit positive correlations with job satisfaction to a considerable degree. The results of the study have their practical implications to managers and policymakers, having demonstrated that quantitative methodologies could be used to gain a deeper insight into the attitudes of employees and create specific interventions that would help to improve the satisfaction with the workplace. The incorporation of the linear regression analysis into the study of job satisfaction makes this study add to a more organized review of the well-being of the employees and highlights the strategic significance of human capital in maintaining the organizational success.
