Open Access (for Books)

The presentation was delivered on 21 January 2026 as part of University Press Publishing for Ukraine: Policy and Practice: Policy and Practice, held in Oxford, UK, 19-23 January 2026. The programme run by Supporting Ukrainian Publishing Resilience and Recovery (SUPRR) in association with Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and the Oxford International Centre for Publishing (OICP). The presentation focuses on community-led open access publishing, showcases the work of the Copim Open Book Futures project, including the Open Book Collective and their Collection Development Fund, the Opening the Future programme, and of other organisations and Communities of Practice, such as Open Books Hong Kong, the European Diamond Capacity Hub, OACIP, OPERAS, OIPA and the IOAP.
