Abstract

Abstract - Ethics is commonly treated as a domain of values or moral truths. This paper offers aconstraint-first reinterpretation. Ethics is modeled as an information-theoretic and thermodynamicphenomenon: a low-entropy coordination protocol that reduces uncertainty, conflict, and transactioncosts in multi-agent systems. Ethical rules are operational technologies for stabilizing cooperationrather than metaphysical claims about goodness
