Abstract

Data and scripts for the paper "Seasonal shifts in muskox metabolic rates and energy expenditure are primarily governed by ambient temperature". The file MuskoxMetabolism_script.R holds the R code needed to reproduce all analyses and figures in the paper based on the below data files: DailyMeans.rds holds data on the daily mean values for muskox stationary heart and rumen temperature. Light.rds holds data on the number of light hours at the study site during the year. DailyActivityMeans.rds holds data on daily mean values for muskox locomotor activity. DailyTemp.rds holds data on the daily mean air temperature at the study site. For a description of data handling and modelling procedures, see the article.
