Abstract

This updated Perspective Piece refines the Integrated Trauma Spiritual Resilience (ITSR) Framework and the Trauma Informed Decolonial and Resilience (TIDR) lens as a holistic, participatory, and culturally grounded model for trauma recovery. The revision strengthens the theoretical foundations, clarifies the framework’s core components, and expands the implications for psychology, community practice, and trauma‑responsive systems. ITSR challenges symptom‑driven, diagnostic paradigms by centering survivor voice, spiritual resilience, ancestral wisdom, and community orientation. Guided by TIDR, the model resists colonial bias and affirms cultural specificity, offering a pathway toward relational, restorative, and globally responsive approaches to healing. This version reflects ongoing scholarly development and aligns with the author’s current research direction.
