The Electrodynamic Origin of Inertia: A Unified Solution to the Flyby Anomaly via Cosmic Potential (CP) Theory
Abstract
The orbital velocity discrepancies observed during Earth gravity assist maneuvers (AndersonAnomaly) suggest a fundamental gap in our understanding of classical inertia. This paperproposes that inertial mass is not an intrinsic property of matter but the result of a dynamicalcoupling with a scalar Cosmic Potential (Φ), extending Mach’s Principle. We demonstrate⃗ ⃗ that the intense relativistic induced electric field (E′ = γ⃗v×B) surrounding a probe at perigeelocally perturbs this potential, causing a transient fluctuation in inertial mass. The modelcorrectly predicts the order of magnitude of the anomaly (∆V /V ≈ 10−6) and provides atheoretical foundation for impedance-control propulsion, identifying the hydrogen hyperfine transition frequency (νH) as the fundamental resonance mode of the quantum vacuum.
