Effective Geometry, Coarse-Graining, and the Non-Fundamental Quantization of Gravity in a Recursive Geometric Framework
Abstract
This paper propose an effective geometric framework in which gravity is not treated as a fundamentally quantized interaction, but as an emergent, coarse-grained manifestation of a deeper recursive organization of spacetime. Building on the Recursive Geometric Field (RGF) and the Unified Model of Creation and Reality (UMCR), gravitational dynamics are interpreted as scale-dependent descriptions arising from a pre-dynamical geometric structure. Within this perspective, General Relativity remains fully valid at local and astrophysical scales, while late-time cosmological acceleration emerges naturally at large scales without invoking dark energy or additional dynamical fields. Quantization, in this context, is not applied to geometry itself but remains confined to matter fields and semiclassical fluctuations on an emergent classical background. The framework is explicitly effective and phenomenological: it does not propose a microscopic theory of spacetime, nor does it address ultraviolet quantum gravity, singularities, or early-universe physics. Instead, it clarifies the domain in which quantum gravitational phenomena are expected to arise and delineates the limits of applicability of semiclassical gravity and effective field theory. By interpreting the RGF as an infrared geometric organization rather than a new dynamical entity, the approach preserves the empirical success of quantum field theory in curved spacetime and the effective field theory of gravity, while offering a falsifiable pathway through late-time cosmological observables. The result is not a replacement for fundamental quantum gravity programs, but a coherent reframing of gravity’s conceptual status across scales.
