Abstract

We propose a novel theoretical framework for atomic structure based on theprinciples of information compressibility and topological coverage conservation. This approach does not rely on the postulates of quantum mechanics but insteadderives atomic stability, shell structure, periodicity, spin, and the Pauli exclusionprinciple from fundamental information dynamics. The core of the theory is theintroduction of an information compression efficiency parameter κ, which measuresthe system’s ability to compress angular information into a radial effective poten-tial. We show that atomic stability emerges naturally within the range 0 < κ < 1,and that shell formation is a consequence of topological coverage cycles, where theaccumulation of angular information reaches integer multiples of 2π. The theorysuccessfully explains the anomalous behavior of the Be–N series, predicts the neces-sity of spin- 12 and Fermi statistics, and naturally leads to the Schrödinger equationform as the minimal linear evolution preserving coverage number. This work sug-gests that quantum structure may be viewed as the minimal stable morphologyarising from information compression failure.
