From Assets to Liabilities: Applied Net Present Value Profiles in Resource Project Failure and Rescue
Abstract
This paper applies net present value profiles to resource projects that transition from assets to liabilities. It shows how financial distress, rescue strategies, and state involvement alter project valuation paths. The analysis highlights why conventional valuation methods fail in late-stage project crises.
