Abstract

The proportion of malware samples that are heavily dependent on Anti-Reverse Engineering (Anti-RE) features is significant. The rise of evasion techniques demands advanced methodologies beyond traditional static analysis, which often proves ineffective against modern variants. This paper presents a hybrid analysis model tested against contemporary malware samples utilizing advanced techniques such as DLL side-loading and UPX packing. By implementing this hybrid approach on a modern info-stealer, we demonstrate its potential to bypass contemporary anti-analysis methods. This research emphasizes the practical application of hybrid analysis for malware researchers to effectively counter evolving evasion strategies.
