Abstract
This white paper brings together experts from the energy storage research community to promote better use and sharing of data. It focuses on improving FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Re-usable) and best practices for storage research data to promote and assure data openness. The document examines the current state of open and FAIR data in energy storage research, highlights existing gaps, and explores future opportunities. It concludes with key challenges and practical recommendations to contribute to the advancement of FAIR practices and open data in the field of energy storage.
