Zhang Xiangqian's Unified Field Theory: A Geometric Theory of Physics Under the Spatial Motion Paradigm - Electromagnetism (Conclusion)
Abstract
This work presents a comprehensive and systematic development of Zhang Xiangqian’s Unified Field Theory (UFT) under the guiding principle that physics is geometry. Authored by Huang Binggang, the paper focuses on the electromagnetic–gravitational sector of UFT and provides a complete theoretical reconstruction from first principles to testable predictions. The theory is grounded in the postulate that spacetime undergoes intrinsic cylindrical-helical motion at the invariant speed of light, and that all physical quantities—mass, charge, energy, momentum, and fields—are geometric manifestations of this motion. Within this framework, electromagnetic and gravitational interactions emerge respectively as torsional and curvature responses of spacetime. Key contributions of this work include: A unified geometric derivation of magnetic and gravitational vector potentials, revealing a shared mathematical structure and explaining the vast strength disparity between electromagnetic and gravitational forces. The first complete dynamical formulation describing how time-varying electromagnetic fields excite gravitational fields and modulate inertial mass, introducing a geometrically defined electromagnetic–gravitational coupling constant. A unified theory of spacetime curvature and intrinsic geometric curvature, leading to the definition of a global inertial ratio and offering purely geometric explanations for phenomena commonly attributed to dark matter and dark energy. The construction of a tensor gravitational wave theory within the UFT framework, demonstrating consistency with general relativity while extending it geometrically. Derivation of spacetime eigenfrequencies and photon resonance conditions, integrating electromagnetic, gravitational, and inertial evolution into a single dynamically coupled system. All equations are subjected to rigorous SI dimensional analysis and numerical self-consistency checks. The theory yields multiple experimentally testable predictions relevant to high-intensity electromagnetic systems, ring cavities, and gravitational wave detection. This work aims to provide a mathematically coherent and falsifiable foundation for a geometric unification of fundamental interactions beyond the Standard Model.
