Abstract

Source code for a theoretical "sensing-by-degradation" glucose sensor model. Includes 0D constant-rate degradation, 0D GOx–H₂O₂ transient coupling, and a 1D reaction–diffusion extension with thickness-averaged optical read-out. Also provides discrimination metrics (d′, analytical error), Monte Carlo classification, a simple parameter grid search, and sanity checks. v2 adds supplementary analyses: β-sensitivity, transport-regime sweep (D_eff × k_cons), kinetic robustness (±30% perturbation), and linear vs full Michaelis-Menten comparison. Run with pip install -r Requirements.txt and python src/model.py for the main figures; python src/supplementary_analyses.py for the supplementary figures and parameter table.
