Effect of Volatile Business Environment on Employee Job Satisfaction of Restaurant Industry of Srinagar District of J&K
Abstract
Kashmir's hotel and restaurant business is very unstable because of political unpredictability, concerns about safety, changes in the economy, changes in seasonal tourism, and problems with infrastructure and supply lines. This case study looks at how this kind of volatility affects the operational efficiency, financial success, job security, and strategic decision-making of restaurants and hotels in the area. The study uses both first-hand information from interviews and surveys with hotel owners, restaurant managers, and workers, as well as second-hand information from tourism reports, government reports, and industry records. The results show that business instability has a big negative effect on the number of tourists, the stability of income, the control of costs, and the retention of workers. The study also shows that businesses in Kashmir that provide hospitality have changed how they do things to deal with uncertainty. For example, they have changed their prices, relied on local customers, found ways to cut costs, and added new services. The study shows how important resilience, risk management, and policy support are for the hotel and restaurant industry to stay open and grow over the long term in Kashmir's unstable business environment. The study adds to what's already been written by showing how businesses in the hospitality industry deal with long periods of uncertainty in a specific area. It also shows how important stable policies are for the hotel and restaurant industry in Kashmir to ensure its long-term success.
