Abstract

A theoretical and mathematical model proposing that large-scale memetic storms—termed Bloom Events—can be understood as phase transitions in the topology of collective meaning. The paper develops the Bloom Hypothesis within a Semantic Manifold Theory framework, presents a minimal dynamical model with testable predictions, and outlines an empirical research program for investigating semantic criticality in contemporary communication systems.
