Paper 50B (Addendum): Structural Shocks, Jump Dynamics, and Irreversibility — Zero Leap Theory Series
Abstract
Paper 50B extends the quantitative layer of Paper 50A to discontinuous regimes where structural change occurs via discrete shocks (coups, infrastructure failure, sudden regulatory shifts, binary coercion events). Gates evolve as reflected jump-diffusions on [0,1] and hysteresis accumulates both continuously and through shock-triggered increments. The paper introduces Entropic Debt as a derived irreversibility metric, establishes a Structural Shock Dominance theorem showing that above a domain-calibrated hysteresis level a single severe shock produces persistent critical transition, defines a Monitorability Boundary separating diffusive (monitorable) from jump-dominant (non-monitorable) domains, and provides a minimal regime classification protocol with proxy-invariance guarantees. A critical observability floor (O_min) operationalizes the IAS-ZLT-CORE admissibility clause in the jump-dynamic layer. All Paper 50 axioms are preserved verbatim. Results degrade gracefully to Paper 50/50A ordinal logic when quantitative shock information is unavailable. Non-canonical addendum, author-validated. Keywords: Zero Leap Theory, ZLT, jump diffusion, structural shocks, hysteresis, irreversibility, tail risk, non-compensability, entropic debt, monitorability, regime classification, proxy invariance, observability floor, blind-spot shocks, via negativa, intervention admissibility
