PHYSICAL INACTIVITY AS A PREDICTOR OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES
Abstract
Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) remain the leading cause of mortality worldwide, accounting for a significant proportion of premature deaths and long-term disability. Despite substantial advances in diagnostic techniques and therapeutic strategies, the global burden of cardiovascular disease continues to rise, largely driven by modifiable lifestyle-related risk factors. Among these, physical inactivity has emerged as one of the most prevalent and underestimated contributors to cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.
