Abstract

blochK is a research-oriented Python package for working with single-particle Bloch Hamiltonians in condensed matter physics. It provides tools for implementing, solving, and evaluating complex observables derived from the Bloch eigenvalue problem H(k) u_n(k) = ε_n(k) u_n(k). blochK includes standard functionality for constructing Bloch Hamiltonians, sampling the Brillouin zone, plotting band structures, and computing physical observables such as the conductivity, etc. This is the initial public release. The API is experimental and may change. Tutorials (Jupyter notebooks) The recommended entry point is the set of tutorial notebooks covering: Hamiltonian plotting observables topology utils Experimental / untested modules The following modules are included but not yet fully tested: methods_analysis methods_basic MF_analysis mean_field Scope This release is intended to support reproducible research results and ongoing method development rather than provide a stable public API.
