EMIT: A Reproducible Computational Toy Model for Emergent Structure from Threshold Freezing and Poisson-Coupled Long-Range Attraction
Abstract
This upload contains a reproducible computational model (“EMIT”) and an accompanying manuscript describing its discrete-time update operator, logged observables, and robustness tests. EMIT is presented as a physically-inspired toy simulation exploring whether stable macroscopic structure and repeatable internal observables can emerge from a threshold-freezing mechanism (mass field) coupled to a Poisson-solved long-range potential and advection. The manuscript reports model definition, methods, and results from a standardized test suite (Δt sweeps, N sweeps, CFL-style refinement checks, seed repeatability, and diagnostic fits). Contents include: the manuscript PDF, LaTeX sources and figures, run logs (config.json / frames.csv / events.csv), and an analysis script that regenerates summary tables and figures from the included data.
