Abstract

Educational technology has become an essential component of contemporary English Language Teaching (ELT) and is no longer viewed as an optional supplement to traditional pedagogy. As digital tools increasingly influence how languages are taught, learned, and assessed, ELT methodology programs must prepare future teachers to integrate technology in pedagogically justified, ethically responsible, and context-sensitive ways. This article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations of educational technology integration into ELT methodology programs, drawing on research in Computer-Assisted LanguageLearning (CALL), teacher knowledge frameworks, and digital pedagogy. The paper proposes a coherent approach to curriculum integration, discusses assessment and implementation challenges, and outlines implications for language teacher education.
