KLUCZOWE TRENDY ROZWOJU EDUKACJI: ANALIZA DANYCH OBSERWACJI UCZESTNICZĄCEJ
Abstract
The transformation of educational content is increasingly shaped by polarized views regarding theprimacy of either soft skills or hard skills. At one pole, a new sense of responsibility is emerging, accompaniedby the ethics of long termism, the affirmation of life as a metanarrative, and the consolidation of metamodernism. At the other pole, competition among educational institutions is intensifying as they pursue immediate success –both their own and that of their learners. At the same time, contemporary technological development is restructuring the sociocultural processin ways that foreground the need to cultivate the individual’s personal qualities and to foster, through education, what N. A. Berdyaev described as the “deep personality,” whose maturity in communication is manifestedin an a priori benevolence.Sustained observation makes it possible to identify the following trends in the development of education:1) a shift from the dominance of hierarchical relations to the prevalence of horizontally structured, network based relations within the sociocultural process as a whole, and especially within education as itskey component;2) a radical rethinking of conceptions of humanity, as well as of egoism and altruism as foundations ofeducational activity;3) a transition – nonlinear and marked by trial and error – toward sustainable development, movingfrom accelerated growth to stabilization and harmonization.Genuine progress in education stands in opposition to progressivism or renewal pursued at any cost, including the cost of dehumanization. It consists in systematizing practices that support the developingpersonality, enabling individuals to overcome their own limitations, to engage ever more broadly and deeplywith culture, and to cultivate the capacity to form profound and meaningful connections.
