Emergent Time and Irreversibility from Entropically Bounded Worldlines
Abstract
Preprint description under current development phase: Emergent Time and Irreversibility from Entropically Bounded Worldlines Preprint IV examined the emergence of temporal ordering and irreversibility from normalization dynamics within the SRM–PPA substrate. The paper proposed that effective time parameters arise from monotonic update counts along causal chains, while irreversibility results from many-to-one normalization operations in finite-capacity transport. The conceptual direction of this work remains consistent with the current architecture. However, the language of the manuscript may give the impression of stronger conclusions than the framework presently supports. Clarification of Claims The following points should therefore be emphasized: The emergence of time described in the manuscript is a proposed mechanism, not a formal proof that temporal structure necessarily arises from normalization. The discussion of thermodynamic irreversibility is structural rather than statistical. No full derivation of entropy increase or macroscopic thermodynamics is claimed. The relational definition of clocks introduced in the paper should be viewed as an operational definition within the SRM–PPA ontology, not as a universal theory of time. The connection between EBW constraints and relativistic time dilation remains qualitative. Current Interpretation Within the consolidated framework, Preprint IV should be read as a conceptual exploration of how temporal ordering might emerge from causal update dynamics. A rigorous treatment requires further work in several areas: motif-level transport algebra clock subsystem stability analysis normalization non-commutativity diagnostics numerical tests of update-order universality These studies are planned for inclusion in the forthcoming numerical addendum. Earlier version: This work examines the emergence of time and temporal asymmetry within the Space Register Metric–Planck Pixel Asymmetry (SRM–PPA) framework. Time is shown to arise as a coarse-grained parameterization of causal order induced by irreversible normalization under finite information capacity. Entropically Bounded Worldlines (EBW) impose global constraints that sharpen irreversibility and lead to context-dependent clock behavior without assuming a fundamental temporal dimension. The thermodynamic arrow of time and relativistic time asymmetry are interpreted as effective descriptions of capacity transport rather than primitive postulates.
