Abstract

• In the North, values are lower and generally stable, with diverging trends between a growing North-West and a declining North-East. • The Centre records the most marked reduction, falling from 52.9% in 2008 to 47.8% in 2022. • The Mezzogiorno remains the most fragile area, with a gap of more than 12 percentage points compared with the North.
