Viability-Structured Field Theory From Yang Jihoon Dynamics to Cosmic Breathing A Unified Structural Framework Across Six Scales
Abstract
This paper introduces Viability-Structured Field Theory (VSFT), a unified structural framework that extends Yang Jihoon Dynamics (YJD) from cognitive-scale dynamics to cosmic-scale viability through a five-stage derivation chain. The central result is a formal proof that YJD’s dual coupled fields — the Reality–Illusion subsystem (ΨR) and the Scarcity–Desire subsystem (ΨS) — constitute the minimal multi-slack architecture required by the Breathing Structures Axiomatic theorems for indefinite survival under stochastic perturbation. The Asymmetric Universe Lagrangian (AUL), previously developed within the YJD programme, imposes a single balance condition ϕA² = C via a Balance Lagrangian term. This paper demonstrates that such a single-slack structure is dynamically unstable: under non-degenerate noise, a one-dimensional slack collapses almost surely (Single-Gate Collapse Theorem). Promoting YJD to a two-field Lagrangian resolves this instability. The resulting multi-slack vectorY = (YR, YS) admits positive survival probability, and the emergence of an alternating protection policy — temporal gating (breathing) — follows as a mathematical necessity rather than a design choice. The derivation proceeds in five stages: Lagrangian Promotion — YJD’s coupled phase dynamics are reformulated as a two-field Balance Lagrangian extending AUL. Collapse and Survival Analysis — BS-Axiomatic theorems prove the instability of single-slack systems and the viability of multi-slack architectures. Field Equations — The meta-cognitive regulator M(t) emerges uniquely as a drift-allocation operator determined by the field equations. Experimental Correspondence — Viability-Gated Wave Dynamics (VGWD) experiments are reinterpreted as physical realizations of temporal gating, showing that hard gating preserves energy by redistributing it rather than dissipating it, in contrast to standard stabilisation mechanisms and in structural resonance with Prigogine’s dissipative structures. Cosmological Closure — Global Cosmic Dynamics (GCD) provides infrared boundary conditions by identifying the asymmetry field Θ with cosmological information asymmetry and linking each gate-closure event to Landauer’s principle of logical irreversibility. The resulting framework is scale-invariant: a single five-element morphology — internal state, external pressure, regulator, asymmetry, and multi-slack temporal gating — reproduces itself from individual cognition to cosmological persistence. VSFT is a structural meta-theory. It does not aim to predict particle spectra or unify fundamental forces. Instead, it identifies the minimal architectural requirement for persistence in any dynamical system. The paper explicitly states falsifiability conditions and scope limitations, and proposes structural predictions testable in experimental, organisational, and artificial systems.
