DIME: Direct Implant Measurement and Evaluation — Automated Inter-Implant Spatial Analysis from CAD-Positioned Library Components
Abstract
DIME is an open-source Python application that extracts inter-implant distances and angulations directly from CAD-positioned scan body or MUA library geometries. The algorithm exploits geometric identity between manufacturer library components to derive implant positions and orientations from clean CAD meshes using a hybrid PCA/ICP approach.
